It’s hard to know which of the instances that these particular people have seen. The most intelligent and obscure ones happened very early in the blog, so if they’ve only been following for a month or aren’t even following at all and just happened to see it, they may think that this meme is more superficial than it was intended to be. Throughout this blog, I’ve been trying to separate myself from other gay memes (especially socially awkward faggot). It would be really impressive if a single person understood every one of my instances because of how obscure they can be and how many different worlds of nerdhood they come from (math, science, music, literature, etc.). If a person who sees my meme isn’t willing to invest into understanding it, then they’ll pass it off as superficial or bitchy. There’s nothing I can do about that, but it means that some of the instances won’t go over as well.
